I got the same problem after upgrading to natty. Got high latency problem and also the link quality is low (as reported by iwconfig) with rt2800usb. With rt2870sta it works fine. Workaround: I've tried disabling power save mode and it really improves latency issue: iwconfig wlan0 power off but I don't know how to set it up on boot. Anyway blacklist rt2800usb works.
