Public bug reported:

Since 2.6.39, EBS volumes don't start at /dev/xvda but at /dev/xvde. All
volumes are shifted accordingly (/dev/sda -> /dev/xvde, /dev/sdb ->
/dev/xvdf, etc.)

Everything worked fine with 2.6.38. I've tested with the daily EC2
instances (oneiric), AMI ami-7cd4e208 (EU) on a t1.micro instance.

# dmesg|grep xvd
[    0.360506] blkfront: xvde1: barriers disabled
[    0.366545] xvde1: detected capacity change from 0 to 8589934592
[ 0.635048] EXT4-fs (xvde1): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
Opts: (null)
[    4.144832] EXT4-fs (xvde1): re-mounted. Opts: (null)

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
