I am not sure what triggers this crash. It does not happen every time
syslog-ng would log a message, because it works most of the time. It
just happens to crash every now and then. It is hard to catch the crash,
because there is nothing in the logs -- obviously. So I have to catch it
in dmesg or similar. I have seen this on at least two machines.

I am not really sure how to produce an strace of this. Maybe someone else is? 
I do not think it is feasible to have syslog-ng run in strace all the time and 
just wait for it to crash? It can take days between crashes.
