Reassigning accordingly. Having said that, anything involving /etc/alternatives seems to throw an error on your system. Perhaps this should be reassigned to the alternatives system, ultimately. Can you try to purge, then reinstall all the packages which have a problem? > Errors were encountered while processing: > /var/cache/apt/archives/fastjar_2%3a0.98-3_i386.deb > /var/cache/apt/archives/branding-ubuntu_0.7_all.deb > /var/cache/apt/archives/dictionaries-common_1.9.3ubuntu1_all.deb > /var/cache/apt/archives/gnupg-curl_1.4.11-3ubuntu1_i386.deb ** Package changed: dictionaries-common (Ubuntu) => fastjar (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/787923 Title: package dictionaries-common 1.4.0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 2 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
