Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: clvm

After clvm is installed the service does not start. Upon review this
appears to be related to debian bug #594196 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=594196).

Creating the directory /var/run/lvm does resolve the problem.

My current workaround is editing /etc/init.d/clvm to create the
directory on start. I have attached a patch file.
