Thanks for your report. You could try the following:
1. Opening a terminal, loading alsamixer, and making sure both controls labeled
Speaker are turned up, as it appears one is, and the other isn't.
2. If that doesn't help, try updating your audio drivers, as outlined at the
following URL. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules
