Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

On my Ubuntu machine Firefox doesn't read my Locale and keeps the
default search as "google.com" rather than "google.co.in.". Even if I
change it manually it reverts back to default upon update. However, this
is not the case with other browsers. This has been happening since
previous Firefox/Ubuntu releases.

Whatever option is given while installing Ubuntu, out of them, country
related is just one and that should be propagated to all the softwares
and country specific plugins should be used among them e.g. search.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
