I have run a server with 8.04LTS on it for the last 3 years and it has
been great with multipathd and my SAN. Upgrading to 10.04LTS fresh,
installing multipathd and having the SAN connected (both with disks
mounted or not) the load on the server load jumps to massive levels.
This server is not doing anything.

It is a shame this is marked as low priority. I do not know about any
one else, but at least for us, we could not possibly use Ubuntu in
production with random load spikes.
