same problem, Nvidia Drivers, Ubuntu 11.04 64bits, Ubuntu boots in 8 or less
seconds and only I can see a black screen
At shutdown I can see the plymouth screen for 2 seconds (that the time my PC
take to shutdown)
on my netbook take longer to boot but plymouth start too late and I can
only see the last few seconds.
