** Also affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Summary changed:

- [upstream] OpenOffice Draw exports broken EPS
+ [upstream] Draw exporting .odg to .eps removes inserted image

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: openoffice.org

- Version: Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy, Oo Draw 2.3 (package version
- 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.4)
+ 1) lsb_release -rd
+ Description: Ubuntu 11.04
+ Release: 11.04

- To reproduce this bug, open a new drawing document, draw someting and insert
an eps-graphic file (Insert - Graphic - From File...). Export as eps (level2,
grayscale, no preview, no compression). Open the resulting eps-file e. g. with
Evince document viewer: the hand drawn line will be displayed, the inserted
graphic will not.
- Hint: I did the same thing on Oo Draw 2.3.1 for Windows, where it worked
fine. The resulting eps-files differ just in one place: after a tm setmatrix
command two numbers (probably coordinates for the inserted eps) are different.
- However, parsing the resulting files with ghostscript results in an error
(/stackunderflow in --roll--) for both the Windows and Linux created eps-files.
+ 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-draw
+ libreoffice-draw:
+ Installed: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
+ Candidate: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
+ Version table:
+ *** 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386
Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+ 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

- Attachment Description: sample file resulting from eps-export. Replace the
following numbers in this file
- 24955.62622 937744.77071
- by
- 706.95825 26581.6302
- and the inserted graphic will become visible in Evince.
+ apt-cache policy unoconv
+ unoconv:
+ Installed: 0.3-6
+ Candidate: 0.3-6
+ Version table:
+ *** 0.3-6 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/universe i386 Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+
+ 3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Draw via the Terminal:
+
+ cd ~/Desktop && wget
+
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/253670/+attachment/364486/+files/EPS.odg
+ && unoconv --listener && unoconv -f eps EPS.odg && lodraw -nologo
+ EPS.odg EPS.eps
+
+ the two files look the same.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is the image at the bottom right of EPS.eps
+ disappears.
