Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: wine
The latest version of 1.2 on ubuntu 10.10 has the following unresolvable
dependencies:
wine1.2:
Depends: libasound2 (> 1.0.24.1)
Depends: libgphoto2-2 (>=2.4.10.1) but 2.4.8-0ubuntu2 is to be installed
Depends: libgphoto2-port0 (>=2.4.10.1) but 2.4.8-0ubuntu2 is to be installed
In addition to the above, it depends on a newer version of libjpeg62.
These four packages are missing in 10.10, so 1.2.3 is uninstallable.
Also, the PPA version of 1.2.2 is now gone. IIRC, the PPA has a
workaround for the cautious-launcher problem, so is worth using even for
1.2.2.
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to report this, but this is the
list linked from the Ubuntu Wine Team PPA info page.
