Public bug reported: Binary package hint: base-installer
Seems to be related with bug #103532 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/103532 After a fresh install of Feisty, the automatically generated /etc/network/interfaces lists also wireless card interfaces. This prevents network-manager from configuring them for WPA. Workaround: manually remove ifaces for wireless cards in /etc/network/interfaces and restart dbus Suggestion: exclude wireless devices from network autodetection and let network manager handle them. ** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Generated /etc/network/interfaces interferes with NetworkManager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
