Public bug reported:

I booted a daily Oneiric EC2 instance (ami-0abb8d7e) on a t1.micro, and
it only sees ~525MB total memory instead of 592MB as it should.

Relevant details:

# cat /proc/meminfo |head -1
MemTotal:         538468 kB

# dmesg|grep Memory
[    0.000000] Memory: 521872k/4202496k available (6168k kernel code, 3564992k 
absent, 115632k reserved, 6922k data, 912k init)


Same details, on Natty (ami-379ea943):

 cat /proc/meminfo |head -1
MemTotal:         606472 kB

# dmesg|grep Memory
[    0.000000] Memory: 591976k/637952k available (6041k kernel code, 448k 
absent, 45528k reserved, 4997k data, 880k init)
