It also happens to me: if I have several rdp sessions and the network connection to one of them drops (like, for instance, when I'm updating vmware tools on a remote VM and the VM suddenly restarts; or if I change from eth0 to wlan0) all other sessions and also the "main window" grey out. After several minutes (at least 15) I have to kill remmina and start it again.
