I had the same problem and I was able to fix it by removing this file:
/etc/bash_completition.d/acroread.sh
which is a link to Acrobat Reader 9:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 46 2009-09-02 08:52 acroread.sh ->
/opt/Adobe/Reader9/Resource/Shell/acroread_tab
