I should had, I'm using Gnome and not Kde, in natty, upgraded not clean install, Desktop cpu/gpu is intel core i5 650. This has been occuring since I upgraded couple of days after release. several times a day in some cases. it doesn'T happen every time the monitor goes to sleep. turned off the screen saver, turned off the energy saver, tried screen saver alone, this is definaltely a problem with the energy saver part.
