It seems there's a bug in their configure, but it isn't a bashism
(forced it to use /bin/bash, and still no dice)... it's not an autoconf
one, and definitely hand-baked, down to the strange messages emitted
when detecting type of system being built for.  One fix might be to use
autoconf, though there was probably a reason they didn't in the first
place...
