** Attachment added: "Screenshot-Dash.png"

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792767/+attachment/2154663/+files/Screenshot-Dash.png

** Description changed:

When one is typing into the search bar on the Dash, matches to the
search criteria automatically appear bellow, and focus is automatically
shifted to the first item in the list. This mean that hitting return
immediately after typing will open the first application in the list.
  This is good.

What isn't good is that there is no visual cue telling the user that the
first application has focus, rather the impression is given that they
must first press the down arrow in order to move focus to the first
- application.
+ application. This is illustrated in the attached screenshot. When I
+ pressed [RETURN] in that particular situation, the screenshot utility
+ was opened, despite there being no indication that this would happen.

When the down arrow is pressed, the first application becomes
highlighted. I think this highlight should be applied as soon as the
first search result become available so that the user can immediately
see that the first application is currently selected.
