I don't claim to know what I'm doing, but I noticed that if I edited the
/usr/bin/note file and changed line 220 from
"dump||Dump|D:s" => \$opt_D, # string, optional
to
"dump|Dump|D:s" => \$opt_D, # string, optional
the non-interactive dump command worked again. Can't speak for any other
problems.
