Binary package hint: unity
Unity is a guess --- maybe it's compiz. Never happened before (I was using
traditional in Maverick). Happened three time to me.
When doing seemingly unrelated things (this time was using the alt+tab task
switcher), the session dies and put me back on login (fortunately both
LibreOffice and Evolution where able to save the work-in-progress).
