Both rt2800usb and the staging driver rt2870 are loaded. This is known
to sometimes cause malfunctions:

Please post the output of:
ls -lh /sys/bus/usb/drivers/rt2870/
ls -lh /sys/bus/usb/drivers/rt2800usb/
and then blacklist the rt2870sta module, shut down and boot (it is safer
than to just reboot in this case) and try again.
