Apparently, pressing the shift key to get into grub stop the rebooting. Please note that this system only locks up if you are connected to a wireless network and use the physical wifi slider. I was only able to get the output from /sys/kernel/debug/dell_laptop/rfkill before I used the slider. Obviously after I used the slider the system locked up and vts where not accessible so I could not get the output then.
