Bug Description
microphone stopped working while I had still ubuntu 8.04 'hardy' upgraded to
10.04 tried several procedures upgraded alsa to 0.23. still external microphone
- connected with the jack - does not work. problem first appeared when I tried
to use sound recorder in Ubuntu 8.04 since then mike just stopped working.
the bug should be in the alsa packages. I'm just a user and all the knowledge I
have about how these machines work comes from having used linux os for some
years now.

how do I get my microphone to work again on skype with ubuntu 10.04 and
eventually also be able to record some sounds since I decided to take an
autoipnosi course?
