Binary package hint: update-manager
Upgrading from edgy eft to feisty fawn using gui update-manager. When
installing downloaded packages recieved following error
"Could not install 'distcc'. The upgrade aborts now. Please report this bug
against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in
/var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bug report.
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 102"
The upgrade did not infact abort and continued installing further
packages, but when it came to the final stages of the install the system
hung, and required a reboot from a TTY console. On restart the system
paused, Alt-F1 showed a message telling me to press enter, after which
system booted but was very unusable. Have rolled back to a back up image
now so cannot upload the recommended files.
