Public bug reported:

Firefox comes with servicable forward and backward arrows for the
navigation bar. When I installed evince-gtk, gnome-icon-theme was
installed as a dependency of evince-gtk, and the native firefox arrow
icons got replaced with gnome-icon-theme icons of which it is hard to
see whether they are active or not.
