I am not running compiz. -> Not the same bug.
I am seeing rectangles, this IS the same bug (i don't see people
reporting rectangles in the compiz bug).
I seem to have encountered this before. It's something like the
dependency on a font thingy missing. I was googling to find out what it
was.
I'm running natty, I'm installing eagle in a chrooted lucid (because the
debootstrap of natty failed).
