@Phillip, it was set to the confirmed state because it has all the appropriate information attached. Brad uses a script to automatically move bugs with all the required information to the confirmed state.
@Christian, Phillip is correct, and this echoes what I said on bug #795099. Please follow up with what I suggested there -- boot with acpi_osi=Linux and see if it fixes/breaks anything that was broken/working without it. If it does fix things it still means your bios is broken, but we can look at adding a DMI quirk for your machine. Otherwise you'll probably just have to live with that message. You should also check and see if there's a bios update for your machine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/795287 Title: [Firmware Bug]: ACPI: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/795287/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
