Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. As a suggestion, I suffer the occasional corrupted graphics issues with my video card but as a workaround I have found that switching to a virtual terminal ctrl-alt-f1 and then switching back ctrl-alt-f7 fixes it.
