Pedro, FLASH. Now this is weird, but while testing a movie with Totem Movie Player to respond to your question, I noticed that an update was available, but I did not do it after trying to view a movie on Movie Player, which did not display, as I had said. Up to then, my default movie player was VLC, so it had troubled me greatly that something was screwed up, so I sent in the Bug Report. Now, VLC works just fine and I obviously can live without Totem Movie Player - which is why I installed it in the first place when VLC had had the problem. I do not know if there was a connection between the recent upgrade and VLC displaying video. I am not savvy enough to even guess.
With VLC displaying properly, everything's fine.
