** Description changed: + ======================== + Fixed in natty-proposed + Test case: + 1. Install Unity 3.8.16 + 2. Choose a lower resolution on the main display in the Monitor Preferences" (System > Preferences > Monitors) + With the fglrx driver you have to use Catalyst configuration setting. + 3. Verify that unity renders correctly at the lower resolution. + 4. Restore the original resolution + 6. Verify that unity renders correctly and that the Panel is visible + + ========================= + Panel disappears case After a resolution change, the Unity panel may disappear. Steps to reproduce: 1- Open the Monitors control panel. 2- Choose a different resolution and orientation (we use 640x480 upside down). 3- Press Apply. 4- Select "Restore original configuration" to return to how things were originally. Expected result: - Resolution restores, screen rebuilds and is visually identical to how it was before the resolution changed. Actual result: - Display is corrupted in various ways. Moving the pointer, dragging windows or generally forcing the system to redraw seems to eventually restore the display to a usable state.
