After creating a new connection, at least the applet tends to need
restarting (so closing the session and starting it again would fix that,
and so would suspend/hibernate or rebooting). This is a known issue that
we're working on :)
I'll mark this Triaged/Medium. This should be fixed in Oneiric, by the
time it's released, too.
