Without more information, I can't know what exactly is failing. I'll
tentatively input that to being due to the recent breakage with glib,
and mark this Invalid (because we can't know what went wrong).
In other words, please try to upgrade to the latest version of glib and
network-manager (afaik this should be at least glib 2.29.8-0ubuntu1 and
network-manager 0.8.9997+git...). If it's still not working, please
don't hesitate to add more information, explaining whether wired or wifi
is broken, or is it's in applications detecting their online state or
any other symptoms.
