That's exactly what I was complaining about: the packages aren't there yet. Because of this and other issues, I have now moved to Debian wheezy where the keys are working which I suppose is due to a couple of existing modules: asus_wmi and asus_nb_wmi, as far as I could investigate. And they say that Debian is always older and outdated... These modules exist because the Debian wheezy kernel 2.6.39-2-686 is compiled with CONFIG_ASUS_WMI=m and CONFIG_ASUS_NB_WMI=m, which Ubuntu natty hasn't, but I think oneiric has. That's why I was asking for the backporting. rgds, jss -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788366 Title: Asus laptop hotkeys not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/788366/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
