I just tested with the Oneiric i386 20110617 daily-live (on a VMware Workstation 7.1.4 build-385536 virtual machine), and now this bug does occur (and exactly as described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator- session/+bug/661250/comments/1). That is, in Oneiric, only Suspend (and not Log Out, Restart, or Shut Down) is present in the indicator-session menu after completing an installation with Ubiquity, but gtk-logout- helper still works (including for shutting down) when invoked manually.
