i tryed to reinstall ubuntu 11.04 from scratch, all went well except for the wireless issue.
So i installed "linux-firmware-nonfree" in order to get my 1st dongle to work (Thomson SpeedTouch 121g) and it started to find networks... but it cannot associate/authenticate. Then i decided to test with my second dongle (SMC 2862W-G EU) had to install the windows drivers with ndiswrapper. it started to work and found the networks (same behavior as the first dongle)... But it still cant connect im really out of ideas. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799135 Title: Wireless cant connect after upgrade to 11.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/799135/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
