The dash searches for .desktop files, and not for each and every command
out there. Since gconf-editor doesn't supply a desktop file, it doesn't
come up in the dash. You can only launch it from Alt+F2 by typing gconf-
editor. This is the intended behavior, as non-desktop-file-applications
were never expected to come up in the dash.
