Maybe, it works but I don't test it. For "Unable to find a source package for xserver-xorg-input-synaptics" problem, you have to add a source repository.
Take a look at "https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu"; for adding source. Open ubuntu software center or synaptic and modify the sources.list.
