Hi Paul,
It seems your system has some trouble finding the snd-hda-codec-analog module
or does not match your chip against it. Could you
1) attach/copy the output of this terminal command: "modinfo
snd-hda-codec-analog"
2) see if this also happens if you run Natty from a Live CD?
