What I expected to happen:
Keying CTRL+SHIFT+U 2F should produce a question mark.
What actually happened:
Keying CTRL+SHIFT+U 2F produced the Search -> Find... dialogue box.
To reproduce:
1) Open gnome-terminal
2) Key Shift+CTRL+U 2F
Extra details:
Disabling "enable menu access keys" in Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts... has no
effect.
