I have the same problem as the original poster- I don't think it's a support issue but a bug in do-release-upgrade. The idea of do-release- upgrade is to handle the upgrade process for the user.. in this case, 9.04 cannot be upgraded directly to 10.04, so do-release-upgrade shouldn't be trying to do that.
I would welcome a support answer as well or instead- but the upgrade process as described by official documentation fails, which seems like a bug. official documentation: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/KarmicUpgrades -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798284 Title: upgrade 9.04 to 9.10 always propose lucid instead of karmic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/798284/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
