>From your log it seems you have set pulseaudio to digital/spdif output only. Can you correct this: click speaker icon, sound preferences, hardware tab. Make sure it is set to "Analog stereo duplex" and not "Digital stereo output". Please report back and tell us whether it solved your problem or not. Thanks!
