I don't remember doing this packaging myself, and I can't say that I've
ever used the python bindings either. I believe that these are
vestigial remnants of some key escrow service work Michael Halcrow had
started.
python-libecryptfs is perfectly fine by me. We can drop the "-utils"
from the path, so just ecryptfs/libecryptfs.
I don't know of a single person using this module. I don't think a
transition is required.
If you could propose a merge to lp:ecryptfs, that would be ideal.
