The Canon installation program has a bug. We have renamed cupsys to cups already something like 2 years ago. So Canon should make programs using the correct package name, or falling back to the old cupsys if cups packages are not found. The best would be if Canon makes LSB-based auto- downloadable packages (like Epson does). The one would get rid of all the hassle.
I see that your kernel version info contains "Ubuntu/Linaro". Are you really on a standard PC system (Intel processor, x86, 32 or 64 bit)? Closed-source manufacturer drivers are usually not available for other platforms. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799442 Title: package cupsys-common (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: tentative de remplacement de « /usr/share/cups/charsets/utf-8 », qui appartient aussi au paquet cups-common 1.4.6-5ubuntu1.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/799442/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
