I had this crash very regularly while testing i386 alternate images on VMs running on amd64 (kernel 3.0-1.2-generic 3.0.0-rc3). After increasing VM's memory it didn't happened in 4 runs.
We'll wait for tomorrows run and see if it happens when the test server is loaded. Also, I've never seen this crash when running amd64 guest on an amd64 host on same hardware and same VM configuration. So it shouldn't happen anyway. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/790712 Title: 20110531 i386 server ISO: kernel OOPS during install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/790712/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
