Hello Michael, Solved. Now, it works. I found this instructions in the Spain Ubuntu Page (in one forum):
Ctrl - Alt - F1, to start console, sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop sudo dpkg --configure -a startx After that, in the terminal: sudo apt- get install -f Then, I say yes to the reinstall of crashed instalation: Sun Java ( but I thing perhaps whas better to say NO...) so, after that the software indice becames damage, and after restart a few times, I received two new updates for Sun Java, and they could install well. Now, Synaptic and Automatix also run right. I don't know what's exactly happened, but it's works know...
