Right now I've got the *wrong* date in the indicator tray text
("Thursday, 23 June 2011") and the correct day selected in the calendar
("24"). But when I first clicked on it today, both were wrong ("22" was
selected in the calendar). The second time I clicked, the calendar day
had changed. These errors happen very frequently.
My suspicion is that the text displays the date from when I last
suspended the computer to disk (hibernate -- suspend to RAM doesn't work
on my machine), and the calendar date selected is the correct date for
the last time I clicked on the date/time widget.
