Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it would appear that the CD could be corrupt.
If you burnt the CD from a CD image (ISO file) there is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you download. Could you please visit https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM follow the instructions and report back as to whether or not the MD5SUM verified? Also you could try to reinstall from a different source other than the same CD. This will help us to confirm your problem. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801931 Title: ubuntu won't shutdown/reboot/suspend/hibernate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/801931/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
