Thank You for this solution. On my Acer Aspire 3830TG with Ubuntu 10.10 I have installed alsa, then snd-hda-tools_0.20100606-0~ppa3_amd64.deb and run hda_analizer, check EAPD on pin 0x1b. But after restart I need to check it again. I think this is better than without sound :) If I plug in external sound I have internal and external speakers working together. To switch off internal speaker I need to uncheck OUT on pin 0x1f. This is not a problem :) The problem is that both internal and external mics don't work. I need any mic only for Skype application, but my manipulations has no effect. Can You help me?
