Hey, I think I found a walkaround...Remembering suse install, it installed 
grub2 on the /boot partition boot record, rather than on the master boot 
record, so I decided to try it also on ubuntu x64 and finally could install it 
without any errors...:D
Additional info:
- The master boot record is a regular msdos one, rather than a grub one used as 
proposed by ubuntu installer.
- I disconnected from the internet to do a faster setup (and to have the chance 
to select the faster repository for not to be half day downloading packages 
using less than a half of my bandwidth).
Nothing else different I may remember...Any question just ask...;)
