I have the same problem. When I press `Switch User' in the `System -->
Quit' dialog, the mouse pointer is found frozen in the center of the GDM
screen, and remains there even after I log in as another user. Switching
to the first user with `CTRL+ALT+F_' and back makes the mouse work
again. I have a Logitech RX300 mouse and the following in xorg.conf:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Option "Name" "Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse"
        Driver "evdev"
        Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
        Option "Buttons" "7"
        Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
EndSection
